Igniting the Flow of Potential in Our Children.”Urava” derives its meaning from the start of a water flow, symbolizing the inception of our transformative initiative.”Urava” embodies a scholarship project centered around our children. This initiative aims to unleash the untapped potential residing within each child. Through a series of enriching experiences, children will delve into their bond with nature, engaging in activities such as arts, camps, and more. By reconnecting with the natural world, they will grasp the significance of conservation. Our one-year program is crafted as a three-phases, mirroring the stages of a water flow. Just as a stream evolves into a river and eventually merges with the sea, our children will progress through various developmental milestones. Each phase will offer unique opportunities for growth, learning, and self-discovery.  So far we have worked with two batches under project urava.
Phase I അരുവി(Aruvi)
The first phase, Aruvi, is a 3-5day camp with children introducing the concepts of “Urava.” During this phase, we conduct activities that will help in building a connection with children as well as influencing the communication and leadership skills of children. We have included different activities like clean up drives, documentary watching, craft making, story telling, during the first phase of urava.
Phase II നദി(River phase)
The River phase of Urava lasts for 3-5 days during the month of December. In this phase we used to bring children from urban settlements to participate in the camp. The goal was to encourage interaction among children from diverse backgrounds for nature learning. Activities included making herbariums, forest walks, fruit foraging, swimming and clean-up drives.
Phase III കടല്‍(Sea phase)
The Sea phase of Urava is the final phase where we conduct intense activities. This phase lasts for 20-25 days during the summer vacations in April and May. The phase connects different topics such as soil health, water conservation, air quality, waste management, food production, communication etc. Activities included cycling, swimming, farming, waste management, herbal product making, micro nutrient cultivation, water conservation related activities, soil profiling, and  exposure visits. With the final phase we conclude the program for each batch and will consolidate the works done by the children during the each phase of the program.

ഉറവ 2.0 (Project Urava 2.0)

Urava 2.0 is the reimagined version of Project Urava, designed to collaborate with schools in creating sustainable models. Our curriculum focuses on key topics such as energy, water, soil, and waste, incorporating interactive activities that engage children. Through games, experiments, discussions, and exposure visits, we aim to make learning dynamic and hands-on. The curriculum is crafted to empower children by placing them in leadership roles, where they take the initiative to design programs that transform their school into a sustainable model.
